The Sweater Chop Shop Live Auction

There will be a live auction in the studio on Thursday evening at 7pm.  Each item pictured in my new book The Sweater Chop Shop, published by Storey Publishing, will be sold (along with a signed copy of the book) to the highest bidder.  All proceeds will go to benefit Alchemy Initiative ~ our Pittsfield property development project.  You can place your highest bid by leaving a comment here, to make your price public.  Then email me at with the item number and your bid (the highest price you are comfortable paying for the item pictured and a signed copy of the book).  We have on site volunteers to handle the logistics of bidding for you to get you the best price we can.  I am hoping to have live online bidding happening with Twitter and a webcam but am not sure that will happen yet.  Stay Tuned and have a browse. 1. Dino Ragamuffin

Item #1
Pictured twice in the book, on pages 8 and 124, this style Ragamuffin, The Dinosaur, was, in fact, the first product I designed and sold back in 1987.  The first ones were made from handmade felt.  This one is made from 100% recycled wool sweaters.  Buttons for eyes are reclaimed in my process and it is stuffed with natural wool fleece.  It measures nearly 14" from tip of nose to posterior (not including tail).  Because of the button eyes and big stitches this Ragamuffin is not intended to be used as a children's toy and is not safe for those three years and under.
Suggested retail value $68
